This posting will be used to fill current and future intermittent Dietary Aide positions at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Luverne. An intermittent employee works an irregular and uncertain schedule as the needs of the agency require. Intermittent employees must be available to work a variety of shifts and some weekends.
The Dietary Aide performs routine tasks involved in food preparation, food service, dishwashing, and cleaning the food service area. Work involves following instructions and established procedures. Knowledge of:
Materials and methods used in preparing food
Care and use of cooking utensils and equipment
Ability to:
Perform simple cooking on a large scale
Plan and prepare small meals on a household scale
Perform simple cleaning and food service tasks
Follow instructions

This position also requires successful completion of the following:
A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
