Hourly I. POSITION PURPOSE
The School of Law Digital Content Coordinator will serve a key role in enhancing the law school's digital platforms as effective marketing tools serving the needs of all external and internal audiences. The Digital Content Coordinator will oversee website design, digital content creation, and cohesion with university standards on a daily operational level. The Digital Content Coordinator will report to the Assistant Dean for External Relations and take work direction from the Director of Marketing & Communications; the Digital Content Coordinator will work closely with the law school Web Master, external consultants, other content creators throughout the law school, and the Office of University Marketing & Communications
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Serve as a resource to law school offices and departments, web page owners, and content creators.
Meet periodically with law school partners in order to develop an annual schedule of digital content projects.
Serve as the point of contact to regularly communicate content development and publishing schedule and updates.
Serve as the liaison between University Relations and law school partners for initiation and training on content development and publishing platforms.
B. Assist other law school offices and departments with the creation of original digital content and updating existing content.
Create, edit and monitor content to ensure accuracy, consistency in observing University standards, style norms, a common marketing voice and unified image for the Law School, and greater user satisfaction.
Design event pages and email templates to complement printed collateral.
C. Work with the University's [Webmaster/Website Manager] to ensure consistency in content presentation.
Develop and regularly update digital content standards and guidelines consistent with the University's standards and guidelines.
Integrate print publications into a digital format including, but not limited to, the law school's DISCERN magazine and admissions viewbook.
D. Work with original content creators, the [Webmaster/Website Manager], and the Director of Marketing & Communications to create and edit content to enhance the overall look and feel of the website
Participate in conversations with the University Marketing & Communications team and stay connected to local, regional and national groups/organizations to stay current on best and captivating website design practices.
Develop and facilitate user feedback to support ongoing website design enhancements.
E. Support recruitment, admissions, and career management web pages and web-based activities.
Participate in content development strategy and design digital content to build personalized and integrated strategic relationships between the law school and prospective and current students and employers.
Consult with staff to identify, prioritize, schedule, and produce digital content and email communications to students as they move through the recruitment and enrollment pipeline.

Work with the Assistant Deans, Director of Marketing & Communications, and the Webmaster/Website Manager to develop applicant-focused initiatives and interactive web applications such as a virtual tour, podcasts, and the like.
F. Develop and maintain digital strategies to reflect the School of Law's overall marketing position and identity, and to promote a unified image of the law school that is grounded in the law school's vision and goals.
Work with original content creators, the Webmaster/Website Manager, and the Director of Marketing & Communications to create and edit content to enhance the overall look and feel of the website and other digital platforms.
Maintain consistency in the Law School's brand and image across the website and other digital platforms.
Work with the University to align the School of Law web identify with the overall University standards and guidelines.
Monitor all digital content for search engine optimization.
G. Collaborate with the Law School and University Webmasters/Website Managers, Law Information Technology, and University Information Services, to evaluate and enhance the law school's website.
Assist the Webmaster/Website Manager to implement enhancements to on-line applications.
Assist in collecting and analyzing web and digital platform usage data.
Participate in usability testing and research to improve site navigation.
Provide feedback on website and platform architecture and content issues.
H. Participate in Law School strategic marketing planning.
Serve as part of the law school's strategic marketing team.
Assist in evaluating the current digital marketing plans and identifying opportunities to better meet audience expectations.
Monitor trends and best practices in digital content development, especially in higher education.
Serve as a liaison with the University [Web Marketing Manager/Digital Content Strategist].
I. Assist with updates to content management systems, website refreshes, redesigns and/or content migrations.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The items below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience required or preferred. This position requires the ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment.
A. Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required.
2-3 years related work experience.
Must be familiar with different content management systems including, but not limited to, Word Press and T4.
Must be fluent in current HTML Standards.
Must be fluent with Cascading Style Sheets.
Must be fluent in Blackbaud Internet Solutions (BBIS).
Must be proficient in either Photoshop or Fireworks.
Must provide a sample portfolio of work demonstrating the above skills.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
B. Preferred Qualifications
Basic Javascript experience needed; Dreamweaver Behaviors at a minimum
Knowledge of digital content creation and usage in higher education
