Job Title: Digital Program Manager

Primary Location: Cambridge, MA

Secondary Location: Zurich, Switzerland

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Digital Program Manager to join the Digital Innovation and AI team within Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality Data Digital & Technology (GMS/GQ DD&T). Our team strives to be a leader in digital and innovation amongst our peers in the pharmaceutical industry – we identify capability gaps, design digital solutions, accelerate experimentation, conduct market research, and improve business operations end-to-end. We are a small team, so you should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and flex a wide variety of skills. You will be able to manage through ambiguity, while keeping focus on important strategic opportunities.

How you will contribute:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency in existing product lifecycle processes
  • Guide team on how to use scrum and agile practices to improve collaboration and team output
  • Manage interdependencies, facilitate escalations, measure projects
  • Translate data-driven insights into clear strategies and present analyses to all audiences
  • Step in as product owner and prioritize backlogs for projects, when needed
  • Stay up to date with digital trends, create perspective, and share findings
  • Be a solid team player with no direct reports, and have the ability to influence others
  • Build dashboards using different visualization tools, and teach others how to self-serve
  • Foster relationships with industry partners who have new technological capabilities, and identify how to use these solutions within Takeda, specifically for the Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality (GMS/GQ) department

What you bring to Takeda:

Skills and Requirements:

  • 12+ years real-world experience conducting analysis, managing portfolio of concurrent projects, and defining important metrics
  • Ability to oversee multiple concurrent workstreams in a dynamic environment across a very matrixed organization spanning multiple geographies
  • Hands-on and influential leader who is meticulously detailed-oriented
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to tell a story in a clear and concise manner to all audiences is required
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment, e.g. SOX, GxP
  • Firm grasp of industry, digital, and artificial intelligence trends and market conditions
  • Experience with Agile product development and use of Jira, Confluence, Miro
  • Experience using SQL, Power Automate, Power VA, data visualization tools,
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical or manufacturing industry with understanding of applicable compliance

  • We have a hybrid working environment
  • Primary office location for this role will be Lexington / Cambridge MA
  • We are a global organization with many colleagues in the US Eastern and Central European time zones
  • Some travel internationally is possible (estimated 1 travel every 6 months for 1 week)

Important Considerations:

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
