This position is responsible for managing the workflow of our photo shoots in a fast-paced, high-volume fashion studio. The Digital Tech is accountable for all images from capture, processing and delivery to the Production Department.
Responsibilities
· Perform digital tech duties during model shoot days; oversight of capture on set,
management of studio workflow tools on set, checking the camera and lighting settings, labeling all images, color correcting, processing images according to studio standards, and keeping files organized and accurate.
· Ensure a high level of technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and
distributed by the studio by following shoot guides and processes set into place to ensure consistency.
· Work collaboratively with photographers, and stylists to ensure each product shot captures the features and qualities unique to the item and is representative of the Windsor brand.
· Work with stylists on set to ensure adequate pace of shoot days needed to complete allocated number of items to meet projections and deadlines.
· Assist photographer with lighting and set changes as required and serve as a photo assistant during on model shoot days. Act as a second eye for the photographer, checking focus, exposure, color.
· Communicate closely with photographer on set to ensure product is being photographed to current art direction standards.
· Help upkeep of studio equipment and inventory. Maintain and organize photo equipment and cleanliness of studio.
· Liaison between the post production team and the on set team for facilitating image edits, missing images, processing urgent files.
· Responsible for software updates, researching new hardware/software workflow combinations, and monthly monitor calibrations of all image-capturing computers.
· Transport gear and work on location as a tech or assistant as needed.
Job Skills
· 2-3 years Digital Tech / Photo experience
· Strong digital photography, lighting, and compositional skills
· Hands-on experience of the Canon EOS and ProFoto systems
· Capture One Pro, Mac OS X, and Adobe Br proficiency
· Strong interest and aptitude in color correction and image processing
· Extremely organized and able to work well under strict deadlines
· Aptitude in technical troubleshooting
· Photography and retouching proficiency strongly preferred
· Macintosh OSX operating systems
· Excel
· Good communication skills
· Patient and personable attitude
· Ability to stay focused and multi-task
· Punctuality
