Design Verification Engineer

Business Line Description

  • You will be working on Cutting Edge WiFi7 Technology
  • Established in Industry with 25+ years of experience ( NXP acquired Marvell WiFi team)
  • Wide Range of Customers in IoT, Automotive as well as Gaming Customers

Job Summary:

  • As a member of the Design Verification [ Pre-Silicon DV ] Team for NXP WiFi/Security BU.
  • You will be responsible for verification of various IP’s and/or SoC.
  • You will implement simulation testbenches, low power simulation setup, assembly/C language diagnostics, assertion checkers or coverage monitors to meet target verification goals.
  • You will also assist with developing test-plans, debugging failures and analyzing coverage information.
  • You will work closely with Design Teams.

Key Challenges:

  • Deliver production quality verification test suite for first tape out success
  • Minimize Time to Market for Wireless products in Road Map.

Cross functional aspects:

  • Quickly learn and build expertise in 802.11 Wireless, PCIe, USB standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Nice to have hands-on Wifi 802.11 MAC layer protocols

Job Qualifications:

  • MS (or BS+2 years industry exp) in EE/CE Engineering
  • Up to 2 years work experience, including interships
  • Must have excellent knowledge of computer architecture and design verification fundamentals
  • Should be familiar with some of the following: Verilog, VCS/NCsim/Questa, C- language or System C, System Verilog, UVM, System Verilog assertions and testbench methodologies
  • Exposure in Low Power Simulation/UPF setup, debug low power simulation failures.
  • Exposure to scripting languages like Perl, Unix shell or similar languages
  • Nice to have some experience with assembly language programming

Salary Range & Benefits:

NXP provides competitive benefits, base and incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles. Company benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $120,000.00 to $145,000.00, annually.
