Job Responsibilities

As a leader in Lam's Global Supply Chain Management organization, this position requires a passionate, driven leader who can architect and implement change while operating in a matrix role. The role requires balancing needs of our Reliant operations while creating a bridge to all aspects of the Supply Chain organization. This leader will work directly Reliant leadership and will be responsible for aligning resources, prioritizing programs, establishing targets and driving results that support the business objectives of Reliant partners and the supply chain organization. This position requires the ability to represent the Supply Chain organization to Reliant and Reliant to the Supply Chain organization with equivalent levels of understanding and responsiveness. This position reports to Supply Chain and has performance input, takes priority direction from, and is accountable to the Reliant Leadership Team. Responsible for establishing Strategic vision for the commodity, evaluating and sourcing suppliers and managing ongoing supplier relationship to drive projects to achieve the objectives of global procurement efforts.

Supply Chain Strategic Management and Execution. Leads and holds all stakeholders accountable in the execution and enhancement of the strategic sourcing initiatives to meet Product and Program requirements. Works with MPMs, Pilot, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other Global Operations teams to assess, identify and mitigate risks in the planning and execution of the sourcing strategy. Assists in development of priority OB part list and flags to system; manages transition of parts from production to legacy and impact on Reliant systems and supply Refreshes annual risk mitigation priorities to Reliant system delivery; works with SC to develop awareness and offsets; ensure follow-up of priority activities (OB, legacy transition, last-buy support, other scenarios) Represents Reliant to overall savings priorities and resource allocation; defends Reliant resource allocation to GSCM to achieve savings commitments Drives overall alignment of sourcing strategy established by MPM; where MPM resources are not available and for smaller programs, identifies gaps and coordinates efforts within Supply Chain and cross-functionally for resolution. Represents Global Supplier Management as the single point of contact to Reliant to support critical sourcing and supply chain escalation, cost roadmap as established by the MPM and Supply Chain objective alignment

Other Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures decision makers are engaged to deliver on-time transitions at the MPM and Reliant established Vision Cost
  • Capture foundational business requirements from Business Leaders to achieve product support goals that drive the greatest value to the business. This may include Reliant leadership prioritization of SPOC time and activities.
  • Take prioritization input from Reliant leadership; align efforts and urgency directly with Reliant leadership priorities and criticalities.
  • Develops strong, collaborative, and effective relationships with Reliant; including when supply chain and Reliant goals are in tension.
  • Critically understand big-picture view of product development process and cycle for Reliant product and offsetting strategic supply chain processes and initiatives to ensure product success.
  • Develop an understanding of Reliant market penetration and defense strategies and be able to parse this into requirements for the supply chain.
  • Owns the integrated view and alignment of these strategies, goals and milestones with Reliant and holds all stakeholders accountable to meeting these.
  • Where necessary support escalation process by pulling in accountable Supply Chain groups to drive deliverables in support of Reliant objectives.
  • Where necessary assists with setting up a supply chain that supports the manufacturing strategy for the products.
  • Provides inspired leadership and direction to the global supply chain organization. Influence others as an agent of change to drive to the right solutions for the Reliant business. Continue to build and develop a world class team in an environment where successful people want to work.
  • Be able to navigate Lam and supplier constraints such as: Time to market, source locking and moving suppliers
Minimum Qualifications
  • Understanding and working awareness of Lam products and associated vocabulary
  • Ability to build good relationships between disparate functional groups and connect communication and action for Reliant related support
  • Motivated and competitive individual with international and multicultural management experience
  • Capable to make deep-dive analyses whilst maintaining top-level overview regarding problem and solutions
  • Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, planning & operations
  • Demonstrated successful cross-functional management and team building in a rapid growth/changing/fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of high performance; ability to drive and lead change
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and people management skills
  • Previous executive level operations management

15+ years in New Product Implementation / Engineering management in Engineering / Manufacturing Industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Educational: Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Industrial engineering or any other stream. MBA will be an added advantage.

Job Experience:

  • New product introduction and experience with most Lam technologies is a plus
  • Commodity Management and Familiarity with semiconductor, Electrical equipment Manufacturing or high-technology supply management practices, standards, and organizations.
