Settlement Negotiator or Pre-Litigation Attorney

Direct Counsel has partnered with a prestigious Personal Injury firm in Downtown Los Angeles in search of Pre-Litigation Attorney or Settlement Negotiator. This is an onsite position with M-F working hours.

Qualifications:

·         Previous bodily injury claims experience

·         Car insurance negotiation experience a plus – whether plaintiffs’ civil or defense side cases.

·         Experience as either an associate attorney with personal injury pre-litigation or a claims negotiator

Responsibilities include:

·         Negotiating personal injury cases against insurance companies

·         Reviewing and submitting demand letters/packages

·         Negotiating settlements for various cases involving bodily injury (MVAs, premises liability, dog bites, etc.)

·         Negotiating liens with a variety of vendors (doctors, chiropractors, rehabilitation centers, etc.)

·         Direct client communication and support

Preferred skills

·         Excellent demand, settlement, and negotiation skills

·         Detail oriented

·         Self-starter, team player, able to achieve results with minimal supervision

·         Excellent oral and written skills

·         Outstanding organizational skills

·         Effective employee management skills (will be overseeing two team members)

·         Able to handle a high volume of cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
