Location: Remote, US

We are looking for an experienced sales leader to lead the Strategic Account Management team in the US. We are developing a high-performance team that will attain and exceed the sales plan. This opportunity is critical in delivering on Wiley’s Research strategy to enable and grow Open Access in our key institutional accounts.

How you will make an impact:

  • Implement best practices with sales teams in line with our intent to instil a culture of high sales performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams like customer success, marketing, Oable and sales operations & support to create experiences that delight our customers and deliver impactful results.
  • Effective management of direct reports to attain and exceed sales plan.
  • Work closely with other Sales Leaders to drive the implementation of our global strategic objectives in the key account segment.
  • Oversee and manage forecasting, phasing and re-forecasting for the sales region.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have significant experience in performance tracking, using CRM system (SFDC), training, and developing and retaining top talent.
  • Have a proven track record of growing revenues in the Academic and Government markets.
  • Can establish, maintain and share a deep understanding of regional Academic sector structure and trends, market growth rate, number and types of competitors, nature and drivers of change in Open Access policies/positions in the region.
  • Are excellent communicator: frequent communication to provide sales leadership, set goals, identify and act on opportunities, resolve conflict, direct and monitor performance, engage with stakeholders within Wiley and all markets and contribute to strategic thinking

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. This range represents Wiley’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
