The Director, Business Readiness director plays a key role in ensuring project initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by maximizing employee adoption and usage and minimizing resistance. The director is accountable for establishing and driving change management strategies, learning and enablement activities with focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The director will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes. The director will collaborate with stakeholders across BHE to succeed. The position will provide guidance and leadership for leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the change sponsor role. The position will also provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers as they help their teams through transitions. The director will also support project teams in integrating change management activities in their project planning.
Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
Apply change management processes and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by project or initiative.
Support communications efforts.
Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications working with corporate communications teams at local businesses and change management leaders.
Assess the change impact.
Conduct impact analysis, assess change readiness and coordinate plans to increase people readiness and engagement.
Bachelor's degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Six or more years of progressive related experience, including two years in a technical/leadership role.
Change management certification or designation desired.
Establish and maintain collaborative work relationships within the department and across the BHE businesses.
Experience and knowledge of change and project management principles, methodologies and tools.
Exceptional active listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and influence others toward a common vision or goal.
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
