Director, Data Science

About the role:

Data science at Aumni is primarily focused on leveraging our data to derive useful insights both

on a broad-market perspective and a portfolio perspective. That work further drives Aumni’s

content strategy, product roadmap, and business development. Additionally, data science plays

a large role in automating the data structuring process as well as supporting more general

business intelligence for the other business units at Aumni.

What you'll do:

• Discover new predictive insights and trends in Aumni’s data and assist our product

teams in integrating these insights and analytics into the product.

• Implement data science and engineering approaches to assist in automating Aumni's

data ingestion pipeline.

• Work with our corporate development teams and data scientists as part of our strategic

partnerships to further develop our insights.

• Support Aumni’s other business units in their efforts to understand their own data as well

as Aumni’s.

• Work with Aumni’s marketing teams and participate in content strategy.
• Collaborate heavily with Aumni’s data modeling teams regarding OLTP and OLAP data

structuring.

About you:

• You enjoy having a strategic impact at a product and operational level.
• You are an expert at working with data science, analytics, and engineering teams

comprising both leaders and individual contributors, and are adept at figuring out ways to

help them flourish.

• Your technical background is broad, spanning multiple areas: data products and

visualization, data and behavioral analytics, advanced metrics, statistics, machine

learning, causal methods, and data engineering and architecture. You likely have a

graduate degree or studies in a quantitative field such as Economics, Analytics,

• Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, etc.
• You are skilled at operating in a complex, cross-functional organization or company

where your teams need to collaborate and integrate with other teams across many

disciplines.
