We are currently seeking to hire a Director of Direct Sales. Reporting into the Vice-President of Direct Sales, this critical revenue generating role is responsible for building a best-in-class sales team that is driven each day to create the right customer engagements, while ensuring the team is prepared to drive revenue growth to achieve monthly Bookings (MRR) goals. As one of the key business leaders, this person will also be involved in assessing, driving, and partnering on key priorities related to optimizing the Nextiva end-to-end go-to-market process (product, marketing, sales, CX, support).

This very dynamic and growth-oriented role requires a high energy, successful, experienced, and analytical sales leader, who is willing to roll up their sleeves to support the team to drive an aggressive MRR growth target.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build vision and strategy - Develop and lead a strategy that aligns with the overall Nextiva and Revenue team's vision and mission
  • Support an AMAZING customer experience – build processes and metrics to manage and ensure an "amazing" customer sales experience
  • Team Development - Advance the leadership and coaching skills of Inside Sales Mangers and the selling and engagement skills of Account Executives
  • High-Performance, diverse, respectful and high-engagement culture Develop, and manage goals, incentives, promotions, rewards, and recognition that supports our values, high growth, innovation, meritocracy, diversity of experience and backgrounds, respect of teammates and overall business priorities
  • Daily sales execution - Manage, coach, and expand team's ability to learn and execute on our Nextiva Sales process and methodology daily by understanding sales team, and marketing input performance, by leveraging systems including Salesforce and our sales engagement platform
  • Great Team Player – work closely with our product, marketing, L&D, sales operations, customer success and external partner teams to drive key initiatives, close MRR gaps and improve processes in service to improving sales conversions, AE effectiveness and Nextiva's value to customers
  • Manage an effective recruiting process – Ensure we have the right people, skills, and process to meet our headcount needs, and accelerate onboarding of our new AE's
  • Analyze root cause of performance goals that fall short of target and rapidly deploy appropriate countermeasures to ensure achievement of business plans
  • Build meaningful communication and change management mode – ensure sales teams are educated and informed to do their job well. Establish frequent, consistent, and effective communication across all levels of the inside sales organization that ensures effective change management protocol that builds alignment and trust
  • Transform and innovation - bring innovative solutions and practices that scale and teach the organization to help accelerate our ability to gain actionable insights for growth and execution excellence

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience as call-center Sr. Manager / Director or related, with a focus on SMB, technology, SAAS. UCasS experience a plus
  • 5 years+ demonstrated experience leading a multi-channel sales team with demonstrated high performance (meeting or exceeding sales goals on a consistent basis)
  • 5+ years' experience with managing monthly/quarterly forecast and quota management
  • Data-driven, analytical, and fact-based approach to making business recommendations and decisions
  • Experience utilizing inside and outbound sales technology to drive sales productivity and optimizing pipeline management and sales cycles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: the ability to speak knowledgeably, clearly, and persuasively to a diverse range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse and multi-offering sales team
  • Proven ability to lead, partner, and execute across a highly-matrix marketing and sales organization
