Director, Engineering Services - Remote

We are looking for a Director of Engineering Services to join our ClarionDoor Professional Services team. You will be responsible for leading a team of 5-10 software engineers who have 3 primary functions: 1) building custom integrations supporting customer requirements for our rate, quote, bind, and issue product 2) supporting our configuration teams during customer implementation projects and 3) resolution of defects identified through our production support process.

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to the team, lead day-to-day and week-to-week execution via agile methodologies, drive performance management processes for the team, and build relationships with a set of peers to foster a strong culture and to develop trust.

What you will do:

• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers responsible developing custom solutions, supporting configuration teams, and resolving production defects
• Provide technical direction to the engineering services team in the form of solution discussions, code reviews, and light development
• Drive agile processes including prioritization, sprint planning, and managing sprint execution
• Establish, monitor, and improve a set of reportable and data driven metrics that reflect the performance of the team
• Drive refinement and evolution of key processes that result in improved performance that is reflected in internal metrics and customer sentiment
• Work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization to identify and implement improvements to our engineering services capability
• Perform quarterly performance reviews, facilitate career planning, and develop professional improvement plans for PMO team members

What you should bring:

• 8+ years experience in software development in SaaS software platforms with a focus on API based solutions
• 3+ years experience managing a team of software developers
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience working in Agile like methodologies
• Direct experience or certifications working within an AWS environment
