Your New Role
The Director, Finance Direct-to-Consumer will manage the Global marketing financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the DTC business unit. Responsibilities include, managing the Global marketing long-range plan, monthly forecast, and financial reporting and identifying and communicating major risks and opportunities. Key in setting direction, providing guidance, and developing guardrails to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial processes. The role will serve as partner and key strategic advisor to the executive leadership and business partners by preparing and presenting financial analysis, key metrics, KPIs and business drivers to support decision making. Responsible for spearheading department and companywide financial initiatives to deliver on key priorities. This position manages one staff and indirectly supervises the Center of Excellence support staff, setting goals, providing direction, supporting, and assisting in career development plans. Advanced knowledge of the principles and theories of finance, accounting, statistics, and other related disciplines to plan, design and conduct financial business analyses is critical for this role.
Your Role Accountabilities

Responsible for annual US marketing budgets and long-range-plan. Set direction and work closely with business leads and corporate to deliver on company’s goals

Oversee the US Marketing monthly forecast process, providing insight and direction to budget owners and Finance teams, staying in-tune of marketing strategy to properly develop forecast. Assist corporate finance with ongoing reporting needs, management of risks, opportunities, and targets. Partner with accounting department to ensure proper month & annual close process and compliance with accounting policy and SOX controls

Lead global marketing consolidation and reporting efforts and present an aligned all-in global view to Finance and business leadership. Manage the creation of efficient financial processes, systems and workflows that allow for effective global marketing analysis and reporting

Develop innovative analyses that measure financial and operational performance in ways not captured in basic financial statements. Partner with regional and international consolidations Finance to drive consistency, and collaboration across regions and teams

Conduct and participate in meetings with business unit’s Financial and Operating Senior Management teams and other business partners to provide finance perspective on proposed operational strategies or performance evaluation of already executed strategies

Serve as business partner to support marketing executives in operational finance matters. Provide continuous guidance in executing on financial deliverables as well as managing operational needs

Produce timely, high-quality, executive leadership reporting and ad hoc analysis to enable decision making for marketing and finance. Develop and present analytics, financial results and KPI’s, highlighting risks and opportunities while providing insights and recommendations. Continuously work closely with marketing, finance, and other key stakeholders to identify critical information that may affect marketing spending, forecast and overall reporting. Ensure financial operations efficiency

Support company and department wide strategic initiatives to deliver on key priorities. Function as project manager and participate in cross-functional collaboration with business partners, other FP&A teams, corporate Finance, and IMO teams to work on critical company and department initiatives. Work closely with marketing team on developing plan, executing, and reporting on deliverables. Serve as Finance lead across departments when it comes to global marketing initiatives

Manage and facilitate the financial and management reporting function. Review and validate the information in complex reports produced on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis using various applications (e.g., Excel, Oracle/Peoplesoft Hyperion). Ensure the accuracy, relevancy, and integrity of all information on financial statements reported in the P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variances and roll forward schedules

Manage team of 1-2 and supervise the Center of Excellence support staff of 2-3, setting goals, providing direction, supporting, and assisting in career development plans
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum 8 years of progressive Finance experience
-
Minimum 5 years experience in a role with demonstrated leadership (led/participated in major projects/teams, provided guidance to other staff)

Financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience required
-
Consolidated management reporting and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and make high-level recommendations to senior leadership
-
Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects and work in a fast-paced, project/deadline-driven environment
-
BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
-
CPA or MBA preferred
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Prior experience with standard financial applications (Hyperion, SAP, Essbase or related) preferred
-
Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to apply to influence and drive decision making
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and constituents that span multiple geographies globally

Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; a confident communicator able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with a high degree of professionalism

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $126,350.00 - $234,650.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
