Director, FP&A Networks & Streaming

Job Description

As the Director of Networks & Streaming FP&A, this individual is a key member of the AMC Networks finance organization, providing financial and strategic support for AMC Networks’ linear networks (AMC, WeTV, Sundance TV, BBC America, and IFC) and streaming services (AMC+, Acorn, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK, IFC Films Unlimited, and HIDIVE). This role will support the VP of Networks & Streaming FP&A, in consolidating, analyzing, and managing each brand P&L, and assist in regular reporting and ‘ad hoc’ analysis for business leaders. This role reports directly to the VP of Networks & Streaming FP&A and will manage a direct report.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Key member of the Networks & Streaming FP&A team, responsible for the consolidation and presentation of the network & streaming portfolio and related variance analyses for financial cycles
Coordinate financial analysis during review cycles and provide input in defining the editorial storylines during the month-end and forecast reporting cycles for individual linear network and streaming service P&Ls
Partner with other finance and business teams in order to gather information and insights on business trends for weekly and monthly reporting
Develop informed perspectives on results and risks and opportunities to be surfaced to team leadership
Support business decision-making through ad-hoc financial modeling and analysis and serve as a key thought leader to Finance leadership

Create and present financial performance updates for senior leadership
Drive automation and enhancement of existing operational processes and reporting
Manage and develop a direct report

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

BA/BS or equivalent working experience

MBA or pursuing MBA preferred
Proven experience managing the financial reporting and planning processes across a business; strong knowledge of financials statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) is required
6-8 plus years of experience in Finance/Accounting-related experience
Previous experience in entertainment & media sector is required
Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes
Must be a creative problem solver and a quick thinker

The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 commensurate with experience.
