Summary
The Director, Global ESG will drive the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy across the organization, including both in the product (PBU) and service (SBU) elements of the enterprise. The role will have direct responsibility for Environmental initiatives across the organization and will interact and collaborate with other functions to ensure that ESG progress is sustained in Supply Chain, HR, Governance, Commercial and Corporate Communications. The director will own the strategic leadership and direction for both global Health & Safety (H&S) programs and for the global H&S team and resources. Hollister Incorporated is operating in a hybrid-working environment.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the development of the ESG strategy, under the supervision of the VP, Global Manufacturing as Executive Champion for the enterprise.
  • Coordinate the activities of the main ESG workstreams across all functions and manage the delivery of work by external partners.
  • Ensure prompt and compliant responses to all external requests, such as tender submissions, customer questionnaires, etc.
  • Take responsibility for the planning and delivery of an ongoing ESG budget, as part of the AOP process, including funding for external services, new infrastructure, headcount planning, etc., within the constraints of prudent financial management
  • Manage Global Operations EHS programs i.e., strategy, compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations, data collection & analysis and reporting.
  • Global Operations point of contact and communication for all EHS business updates and communications.
  • Drive the achievement of the Global Operations EHS Strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the Global Operations key EHS administrative processes including input to strategic planning, annual operating plans, BOD reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operations sites to facilitate the development and improvement of global environmental programs, as appropriate.
  • Provide direction to the EHS professionals, guiding them for success and managing their long-term development.
  • Provide direction on the development of a Libertyville EHS program, based on the future hire of a suitable local resource.
  • Establish and/or revise EHS policies, practices, and expectations.
  • Establish internal and external safety networks to drive continuous improvement efforts relative to the Company’s EHS programs.
  • To perform other job duties as determined and assigned by management.
Essential Functions of the Role
  • Primary a corporate-office environment, so working with typical office equipment, communications and technology.
  • Ability to lead a team of 2 full-time direct reports.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of time globally.

Work Experience Requirements
  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 15+
  • Demonstrated Strategic Thinking and Execution of Global projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills strong project management skills,
  • Strong knowledge and passion for all aspects of ESG
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with others in a dynamic matrix environment,
  • Knowledge of Global EHS programs, Global Operations, Manufacturing Operations
  • Strategic Planning, Business Processes Administration

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required (emphasis of student in EHS or equivalent).
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge
  • Proficiency in English language (both verbal and written).
  • Strong industry, business and technical knowledge of EHS
