Your Role:
The Director, Global Market Research Insights - Oncology reports to a Sr Director, Oncology GSI. This individual is accountable to be an insights expert and trusted thought partner to the TEPMETKO® Brand Team, and select New Product Portfolio (pipeline) project teams, by providing meaningful insights in the shape of data analytics and performance tracking, competitive intelligence (CI), and primary market research (PMR). In addition they will support evaluation of specific external business development (BD) opportunities as needed.
The Director, Global Market Research Insights - Oncology is accountable to support all business-critical decisions for our in-market brand, TEPMETKO®, and for our Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) project team. You do this by providing tangible deliverables including necessary and relevant competitive landscapes, market research reports, secondary analytics, and performance tracking reports. You will design the insights plan and ensure the generated insights are incorporated into key decision-making exercises by the brand and project teams.
On a day-to-day basis, you will primarily interface with stakeholders that may include the TEPMETKO® Global Launch Team, Oncology Global Franchise ADC team, Global Medical Affairs, and the Global Project Teams for ADCs and TEPMETKO®, and other GSI colleagues. This role requires a combination of insights expertise, thought partnership and direct execution of insights projects.
You are directly responsible to deliver analytics and insights for key business decisions for TEPMETKO® including:
- Help identify, evaluate and purchase global secondary data reports and databases and recommend appropriate uses
- Leverage internal resources and CI agencies to identify and characterize key competitors, predict competitor launch timing and potential drivers of differentiation
- Integrate the performance trackers across key markets and draw actionable business insights
- Analyze, integrate and interpret results from analytics, CI and MR to support business decisions and the Global Brand Plan
- You are also responsible to deliver analytics and insights for key business decisions for our Antibody-Drug Conjugate assets, M9140 and M3554.
- In addition, you will support business opportunity assessments for specific external business development (BD) opportunities, with the insights tailored to the urgency and scope of the specific BD decision
- You may also be called upon to represent GSI in cross-therapy area and company-wide projects with broad strategic or tactical objectives beyond Oncology

Who You are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree 8-12 years of experience or master's degree with 6-8 years of experience or Ph.D with 5-8 years of experience
- 5-8 years of relevant data analytics, market research and business intelligence experience in the pharmaceutical or drug development industries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on oncology brands that are in-market, launch or late pipeline
- Experience with primary market research, including the ability to identify key business levers and direct agencies to deliver HCP insights
- Experience in market research with opportunity assessments, treatment landscapes, branding and messaging, as well as performance tracking
- Prior experience with competitive intelligence and analytics; combination of agency and industry experience
- Experience or familiarity with in-licensing and acquisitions, opportunity prioritization exercises and portfolio reviews
- Knowledge of the global oncology secondary data sources (such as Cerner Enviza, IQVIA, Clarivate) is ideal; familiarity with syndicated databases like Intrinsiq, Ipsos is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior members within and/or across functional teams through robust analysis and reasoned solutions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and assign resources accordingly
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize and manage workload, good prioritization skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities, and manage key stakeholders through effective communication
- Experience working on and influencing cross-functional teams
- Strong familiarity with healthcare industry and oncology trends
- Ability to lead a cross-functional discussion in an organized and tactful manner, systematically using supporting information and logic, by building and defending cogent arguments; ability to guide the group to a consensus of opinion
- Strong strategic skills including ability to see the big picture, conceptual/out of the box thinking, proven senior management presence and exceptional communication skills
