About the Role
Reporting to VP HR, Global Rewards, the incumbent owns and leads the strategic design, policy development, planning and administration of overall HARMAN’s global rewards programs that attract, retain, motivate and reward employees while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness and governmental compliance.
The incumbent also supports the VP HR, Global Rewards in planning and implementing special projects and is expected to serve as the US Country contact for these special projects.

What You Will Do

Designs, develops and implements world class Global Rewards programs across all divisions and countries at HARMAN

Aligns Global Rewards function with overall business strategies

Integrates Global Rewards programs for Mergers & Acquisitions
-
Manages Global Rewards vendor relationships and budgets
-
Provides Global Rewards guidance, expertise and competitive insight to Division and Country Global Rewards Leads, Human Resources partners, client groups and business leaders

Provides and improves communications regarding local rewards plans and designs
-
Ensures competitive pay practices are maintained throughout the organization
-
Support VP HR on LTCI and Executive Comp plan design and administration
-
Participates in Investment and Administrative committee meetings for the HARMAN Deferred Compensation plan
-
Serves as the Workday Compensation skew functional owner ensuring compensation plans are maintained and approval and eligibility rules remain up to date

Leads and owns Global Rewards functional area:
-
Global Merit Planning & Variable Pay Programs – end to end program administration from design and policy setting to communication and implementation, to Financial reporting and BFT tracking

Global Salary Structures and Job Catalogue – leads the development, maintenance and governance of global salary structures and job catalogue

Global Rewards & Recognition & Services Program - operations, systems, budgets, best practices, program enhancement, communications and program education

U.S. Rewards Operations – US audits, governmental compliance (i.e. FLSA, pay equity, worker’s comp codes) organizational changes and Deferred Compensation program

Global Grading Practices at HARMAN – manages compensation software tools, external benchmarking, trainings, approvals of roles and global compensation surveys
-
Goal Setting – leads the goal setting process; assess goal-setting process and calibrate with industry and academic best practice
What You Need
-
Bachelor’s degree in human resources and or business related field.
-
10 or more years of progressive human resources experience.

In-depth understanding of technical applications in the compensation and mobility disciplines.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics and interact internally and externally with all levels of management and employees, including HR & Rewards colleagues, Finance Controllers, Legal, Treasury, Executives and Business and HR leaders.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing global programs, interacting with global HR colleagues and leading teams and complex global projects.

Strong analytical, research and problem solving skills along with proficiency with HRIS systems, spreadsheet and database software tools – Workday experience is preferred
