You will be the Director of Licensing Product Management that will lead a team that will refine and define Cisco’s License strategy with focus to simplify, standardize, and drive our licensing framework. In this role you will be responsible for the licensing architecture, product management of the key Smart Licensing components, identifying and systematically removing inconsistencies across internal and external licensing processes, establishing and governing Licensing Enforcement policy, and other related standardization and simplification efforts across existing licensing platform. You will work cross functionally on process definition, capability enablement, discovery/analysis, end to end process, customer requirement documentation, solution development and driving delivery execution. You will assist in aligning standards for scale and be engaged with key architects and product owners to deliver on the COLx charter.
The COLx team is at the forefront of Cisco’s digital transformation of new offers, buying programs, new business models and licensing. In this role, you will work in close partnership with internal stakeholders in a global and agile environment. Focus will be in partnering cross-functionally with leadership, internal teams, COLx Product Managers (PMs), and Corporate IT to ensure effective design and enablement of our licensing solutions and standardization. You will regularly influence key executive stakeholders enabling them to make effective and informed decisions that support the overall goals of growth and scale. You will build a strong network of cross-functional partners across the company to help guide and drive execution of an offer end state that embodies standards and policies.
You will have experience leading teams and working in a cross functional – hybrid business environment. Additional, the ideal candidate will have business systems and licensing management/framework experience, problem solving, process improvement, proven operations experience, excellent communication and framing skills, and work well with all levels of leadership.
This highly visible position requires an individual with outstanding oral and written communication skills and the ability to work vertically throughout the entire Cisco organization. In addition, the individual must be extremely organized, yet comfortable in a constantly evolving, dynamic environment.
With 20+ years of demonstrated experience in a combination of licensing enablement/refinement, offer enablement, business architecture, and process excellence in the software technology industry. You have proven your ability to set a vision, excite, and lead a cross-functional team to deliver strong outcomes. You excel at solving complex problems; you back up your recommendations with strong data. You can convey the most complex concepts in the simplest of terms and are a hardworking advocate for our customers. You are passionate about simplicity and not afraid to question status quo and push people beyond their comfort zone. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multi-cultural business environment and you can work with a range of sensitive and confidential issues.

U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
