Overview
The Director of Content & Programming for Morning Brew Education will report to the GM of Education and will provide oversight of all activities of the education content department and work closely with the content team in the creation of excellent learning experiences for the students across all our programming. Education at Morning Brew is a "startup within a startup" and the Director of Content and Programming should have a deep desire/excitement for helping scale something from 0 to 1 and then 1 to 100 as we seek to disrupt the current EdTech landscape.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the content team members across all programs to ensure high quality content development, consistent content revision and high quality learning experiences for all students
- Design and implement measurement systems that actively measure, manage, optimize and communicate the performance of the content in relation to customer satisfaction, learning objectives and relevance
- Identify and cultivate relationships with expert talent that will be key to the programming efforts across products
- Working with the GM, Education, build a content and programming strategy aimed at growth across all products
- Partnering with Growth, oversee the content creation and execution of a social media content strategy for Education accounts across platforms
- Collaborate with the Growth team to support marketing activities such as product branding, content, and messages as needed
- Serve as an expert on pedagogy, current course technologies and trends in educational delivery
- As part of the Education leadership team, design and deliver on key conversion tactics related to the prospective student pipeline
What makes you qualified:
- Fluency in business strategies, business models, and timely business news
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Prior course design, editorial and/or educational program management experience required
- Masters in Business Administration, Journalism, Education or equivalent professional experience strongly preferred
- A minimum of 10 years work experience preferably in a related industry with increasing levels of responsibility including prior management experience
