Director of Field Marketing
Position Summary:
The Director of Field Marketing is responsible for all activities designed to drive pipeline generation while creating a positive brand image and story, providing educational collateral, clearly articulating MeridianLink’s differentiation, and targeting the right audiences for MeridianLink. Also, the role is responsible for internal and external communication strategies and execution.The Director of Field Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive demand and revenue growth in our target markets. The level 3 management role will develop and execute field marketing plans to support the sales team's efforts in targeted regions. The role will be responsible for building relationships with key industry associations and organizations to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
Expected Duties:
  • The Director of Field Marketing will work closely with sales, revops, product marketing and the product teams to identify target segments and develop targeted events & field marketing campaigns
  • Responsible for planning and executing successful events and trade shows to generate leads and drive pipeline growth through managing all aspects of event planning and execution, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and follow-up
  • Expected to collaborate with the product marketing team to ensure messaging and positioning align with field marketing and event efforts
  • The Director of Field Marketing will manage a team of field marketing and event professionals, including hiring, training, and professional development
  • Build relationships with key industry associations and organizations to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities
  • The role will develop and manage budgets for field marketing and event programs, ensuring ROI and accountability for spending
  • Responsible for analyzing and reporting on the performance of field marketing and event programs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Expected to keep up to date on industry trends and competitive activity, making recommendations for new or revised programs as needed
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The role requires the establishment of annual objectives and the execution of tactics to meet those objectives. The level 3 management role often includes P&L responsibilities. The role will have a broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills. The individual in the role will be responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews with managing the activities of first-level managers and/or supervisors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B field and event marketing, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing field marketing and event plans that drive revenue growth and pipeline generation
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team and cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with marketing and sales automation tools, including HubSpot, Outreach.io, Salesforce.com
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel nationwide 15%-20%

Salary range of $138,400 - $195,400. [It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.] The actual salary will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
