Director of Financial Reporting

Overview:


The Director of Financial Reporting position will manage the company’s consolidated global management reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual results, strategic plans, forecasts, budgets, and preparation of other reports as needed. This position reports to the VP and Global Controller providing analysis and global financial reporting insight to key stakeholders of the company. The position requires one on one interaction with owners of the company in preparing financial presentations, stakeholder presentations and presentations to lending institutions.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute consolidated financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans including key performance indicators, financial commentaries, financial data, and graphs
  • Perform Hyperion Financial Management and FDM administrative functions for consolidation system including maintenance of metadata (accounts, entities, customs, etc.) and facilitation of user requests
  • Review monthly financial data for integrity and completeness
  • Review monthly actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior year performance
  • Improve the financial reporting process through better utilization of consolidation software, other analysis tools and process improvements
  • Project/manage financial system upgrades and implementations
  • Respond/resolve financial system issues including performance-related problems and data load errors
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for key stakeholders including customers, lenders, and partners
  • Provide guidance on a global basis around the reporting of unique accounting transactions
  • Complete special projects and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Prepare certain annual report footnotes for the HAVI group financial statements
  • Assist with HAVI home office and other non-consolidated monthly accounting and procedures

Desired Skills & Experience:
ABOUT YOU
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and processes, including GAAP
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
  • International accounting experience including FAS52
  • Excellent analytical and organization abilities
  • Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of personality types at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (5-10%)
  • CPA and Hyperion experience desired
  • MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Prior experience in public accounting desired
