Department Summary
The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with the North Texas Athletics. Provide facilities which attract the highest level of talent and allow student-athletes to perform at the highest level in practice and during competition.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for assisting the athletic department in the overall marketing and branding of the football program through the creation of inspiring and innovative visuals that
will be used to communicate with the current team, staff, as well as recruit prospective student-athletes across all forms of social media. The position will report through athletics but be
assigned to work closely with the football program and have opportunities to collaborate with other staff and sport programs when time or availability allows.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in in related field and three years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday. 8:00am – 5L00pm with some evenings and weekends.

Job Duties

o
Coordinates the design, creation, and output of all creative media for the UNT Football program in collaboration with Assistant AD for Graphic Design as well as serves as the lead graphic designer for the UNT Football team with a primary focus on creating visual graphics for recruiting
prospective student athletes.

o
Plans, executes, and provides oversight of the prescribed communication schedule for prospective student athletes.

o
Collaborate with video staff to ideate, plan and execute various in-season weekly videos documenting our season and student-athletes as well as creates effective design pieces to support the UNT Football program by using motion graphics, social media graphics, website ads, logos, flyers, posters, promotional items, etc.

Assist Assistant AD for Graphic Design in recruitment and management of graphic design student interns.

Works collaboratively with UNT Athletics Creative team to leverage graphics to achieve the mission of the UNT Athletics.

o
Ensures all displayed media are consistent with the athletic department and graphic standards using approved elements in conjunction with oversight from Assistant AD for Graphic Design and Senior Associate AD for Strategic Communications.

o
Will work in collaboration with UNT strategic communications, digital media, marketing, video, photography and broadcast teams, in addition to the coaches and staff of UNT Football.

o
Coordinates and produces signing day video and graphic production.

o
Collaborates with department and football staff to develops and execute a comprehensive yearly program branding campaign.
