The Role and Team
Medallia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of M&A Integrations to join our team and help us scale our inorganic growth strategy. The Director will be at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to help us maximize the value of every acquisition through successful integration and execution of M&A business plans.

This is a critically important role within the business and an opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth and success. This role will report directly to our EVP, Strategy & Corporate Development.

We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset. Your project management skills will be put to the test as you navigate complex integration projects, ensuring everything stays on track and according to plan. Change management will be a critical component of the role as you facilitate the integration of people, systems, and cultures - making sure everyone feels part of one unified Medallia team.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the charge in developing and executing integration strategies, creating a seamless transition for Medallia and the acquired entities, and maximizing value creation from our M&A activities.
  • Partner with strategy and corporate development team in various phases of M&A planning, including: target evaluation and prioritization, transaction due diligence, and acquisition business case development.
  • Manage cross-functional integration teams, leading them through the execution of our integration plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with executive leadership, senior stakeholders, and functional teams, and keep them informed on the integration progress and milestones.
  • Uncover opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiencies post-integration, and develop comprehensive integration roadmaps to execute plans.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure a smooth integration of people, systems, and cultures, while promoting Medallia’s core values of “Every Experience Matters” and “We All Belong Here.”
  • Monitor and evaluate the integration progress, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting, and success criteria to objectively assess our performance against stated goals.
  • Capture lessons learned and build-out of repeatable process strategy and toolset (e.g., playbooks, process flows, work plans) that incorporate prior experience and industry-leading practices across all key workstreams.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience across strategy consulting, investment banking, and/or corporate development.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading multiple post-merger integration projects of companies with >100 employees
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and presenting effectively to C-Suite and senior executives by drawing on deep business acumen
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading multiple initiatives, mergers, or similar
  • Self-starting capabilities with demonstrated ability to identify and seize opportunities for impact in uncertain context with limited oversight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operating or general management experience.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • SaaS Industry Experience and/or private equity (value addition or operational teams).
Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $156,000 - $265,000. This position is bonus eligible. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
