Director of New Market Development

The Strategic Partnerships team ventures to find the niche use cases, the undiscovered applications, and the untapped segments, turning these learnings into new verticals and revenue opportunities for Ribbon. We focus on greenfield opportunities, product-market fit testing, and atypical partnerships. We are excited by all of the ways the healthcare industry can work with Ribbon and are not afraid to think outside the box to make that happen. 

As the Director of New Market Development, you will define and shape our strategy for new distribution channels and partnerships (i.e. EMRs, CRMS, data analysis platforms). You will build upon our early channel partner success to then identify the best partners and negotiate partnerships that help both Ribbon and the partner accomplish their missions. You will explore new products to build and partnership terms to construct to help launch accelerated revenue streams for Ribbon. This role will require cross-functional skills across commercial strategy, product, marketing, and executive stakeholder management and will be operating in ambiguity as we work to define the channel partnership strategy together. You will be an early hire on a new team, and ultimately, you will have the opportunity to build a best-in-class function.

  • You are an inspiring communicator and a deep listener. You quickly build empathy for other problems and think of creative solutions to move forward together
  • You take a hypothesis-driven and analytical approach to new and difficult problems, quickly identifying the root causes of problems and developing fact-based hypothesis that you can quickly test and iterate to move forward

Your day-to-day

  • Identify new partnership opportunities, develop relationships, and structure mutually beneficial partnerships with leading healthcare solutions where Ribbon can enhance offerings and where Ribbon data can be further distributed across the ecosystem
  • Negotiate and structure bespoke and complex deals with new partners that drive mutually beneficial outcomes in the immediate and long-term
  • Lead our channel partnership strategy and collaborate closely with go-to-market, product, and customer deployment teams to ensure we’re on a scalable path forward
  • Work closely with go-to-market to develop our channel partnerships value proposition, partnership enablement plans, and more to ensure scalable growth
  • Surface relevant signal from the market that have implications on how we we go-to-market
