We are seeking a talented Director of Operations to drive strategic planning, capital investment, material movement, and continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, cost, inventory, and Environmental Health & Safety initiatives.
As one of the two Director of Operations within Albany Engineered Composites in Salt Lake City, you will report directly to our General Manager and have the opportunity to develop and execute plans and strategies for all manufacturing operations across the business. This includes activities such as strategic planning, capital investment, operations management, material movement, and adopting Lean Enterprise principles to enhance quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, cost efficiency, inventory management, and environmental health and safety.

What You'll Do:
As the Director of Operations, you will lead a team of Value Stream Managers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective production of our products for customers. Your expertise will be crucial in interpreting and recommending modifications to company-wide policies and practices. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing manufacturing policies and procedures that align with our objectives.
The decisions you make in this role will have a significant impact on the overall success of your area of accountability. You will engage with senior management and other stakeholders on matters of great significance to the company. Additionally, you will conduct business and technical briefings for senior and top management, as well as external representatives.

Our ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in Aerostructures and be a relentless and results-driven performer with a Continuous Improvement mindset. They will have demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience with manufacturing practices such as SPC, Flow Charts, standardized work, and KAIZEN.
Additionally, they will have the ability to lead a diverse workforce and provide an effective and efficient work environment, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously under frequently changing priorities.
