This position is a hybrid role requiring employees to work from our headquarters location in Seattle, WA every Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote all other days.

We help people explore their real estate dreams via the #1 real estate brokerage website in the US, then we help them win the home that’s right for them with a technology-powered real estate operation that handles every step of buying and selling.
Redfin’s Director of Real Estate Services Product is the leader responsible for defining all of Redfin’s software that helps real estate agents and customers buy and sell homes. This includes the custom enterprise software that our thousands of Redfin real estate agents–and the call center employees who support them–use to serve customers from beginning to end, from meeting them for the first time to closing a deal. But it also includes the software we use to operate a two-sided marketplace and refer excess demand to our partner network of agents at other brokerages. Real estate is complicated and involves the largest transactions that people will do in their lives; this leader will set and execute a software vision that will redefine that process for customers and for agents.
We know what some components of that vision are. The biggest one is taking our custom agent tools software and turning it into a marketing platform that allows agents to generate sales. It’s really good right now helping agents serve customers, but it can also be a goldmine that allows agents themselves to show up as experts on the site and earn more customers directly. Another part of the vision will be making the software so good that Redfin is the best place to be an agent. But those are just the broad strokes of the vision–the rest is up to you.
You’ll lead a team of six product managers defining software for fifty engineers. You’ll be an intellectually curious product leader who can understand a complex area and set a strategy that creates more new deals, higher efficiency, and more reasons for agents to work with Redfin. You’ll be an empathetic leader who is eager to get out into the field to understand the needs of real estate agents first hand–you should expect to travel for a few days each month across the country to spend time with agents. You’ll collaborate well with leaders from real estate services, product design, engineering, and marketing who are also experts in their craft. You’ll report directly to Redfin’s Chief Growth Officer, who’s responsible for all marketing and product across Redfin, and you’ll work frequently with our President of Real Estate Services, who’s responsible for the largest businesses at Redfin.

But you’ll also change the game, identifying big bets on fundamental improvements on how people find their next home.
Rally: You’ll rally your team to overcome obstacles and find a way to win. You’ll drive decisions that enhance our profitability, because profits fund our purpose and mission. E.g. this might mean stopping work on a product that just isn’t working so that you can double down on one that is. It also might mean making a reversible decision quickly instead of over-analyzing it.
Genuine: Most tech companies don’t employ the people who actually serve the customer, but you’ll be part of a company that succeeds because the people behind its technology and service work together. You’ll create a team culture where everyone is welcomed and respected, because talent is equally distributed between people of different races, genders, ages, sexual orientation and military status, but professional success hasn’t been. You’ll be genuine with that team and as a leader will look to sweep the floors instead of being put up on a pedestal.

You’ll lead your team to define software that brightens customers’ and agents’ days, not software that’s technically perfect. We meet customers after the death of a parent or the birth of a child, at the beginning or end of a relationship or a career, giving them safe passage to a new life. You’ll infuse your team with some of the joy and love that comes from guiding customers through such a meaningful journey.
The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements in Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Washington, and California.
Base Pay Range: $190,600.00 - 285,300.00. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operational business needs. Depending on the position, compensation may also include commissions, bonuses, and equity.
