Director of Product Marketing

The Role

As Director, Product Marketing, you have a passion for explaining business value and a can-do attitude that inspires those around them. You thirst for customer interaction and take pride in your storytelling skills. You obsess over precisely defining customer pain and develop value-based positioning. You are equally adept at right and left brained activities having both deep analytical skills and share evidence-based perspectives persuasively. You are never satisfied with the status quo and always pushing yourself and your team to raise the bar.

This is a highly cross-functional position where you will partner closely with product management, digital/revenue marketing, corporate communications, alliances, field marketing and our global sales/channels teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven individual to work on a global-level and make an impact.

This is a high-impact role that is both strategic and tactical and will be crucial in helping Deep Instinct achieve our goals including: generating and accelerating pipeline, and growing brand awareness.

This is an individual contributor position.


Requirements:

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's in business or marketing, MBA is an advantage
  • Must have Hands-on cyber security experience
  • Hands-on experience working in a B2B tech startup environment
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B software product marketing or outbound product management, technical marketing communications
  • Experience creating compelling, differentiated messaging and positioning, with a clear understanding of the target customer and the core capabilities of our products.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience developing content (such as PPT decks)
  • Excellent grasp of the written word
  • Experience in technology marketing, cybersecurity (especially endpoint protection) a plus
  • Endpoint security or endpoint protection experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication abilities
  • Excellent visual and verbal communications skills - take a technical concept and explain it clearly in just one image
  • Experience participating in dynamic product rollout processes
  • Highly motivated/self-starter, with a positive outlook and a can-do attitude

Salary Range: $165,00 - $185,000

This salary range represents Deep Instinct’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Deep Instinct may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Deep Instinct’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Deep Instinct’s business and other operational considerations.

The range listed is just one component of Deep Instinct’s total rewards package for our employees. Other rewards may include annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position. Responsibilities::

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and track go to market plans with a solid understanding of messaging and positioning
  • Create and update product and solutions collateral and datasheets
  • Build and maintain personas
  • Track and maintain battle cards for competitors and products
  • Cross functional team coordination and project management
  • Developing a deep understanding of users, customers and product features, and help evangelize that understanding across the company.
  • Taking unique and strategic insights and translate them into compelling messaging, positioning, content, and campaigns that drive core marketing metrics and high quality sales conversations.
  • Assist in communicating launch plans and tracking associated activities
  • Work with demand gen team on identifying gaps and strategize how to fill them
  • Play role in identifying and creating new content
  • You will stay abreast of industry news and events, industry analyst reports and social activity. Leverage these to educate key constituents and to drive awareness and demand generation.
  • Work closely with sales enablement team on training tools, presentations, demos and competitive write ups
  • Work closely with Marketing Operations to analyze product and campaign performance and metrics
  • Ensure website content is up to date with latest product updates and messaging is consistent across all mediums
  • Investigate and track industry statistics for use in content and proof points
  • Conduct market research on new markets and associated TAM
  • Competitive analysis from a messaging standpoint not deep technical
  • Own relationships with technology partners for marketing execution
