OVHcloud is seeking a Director of Sales who will be responsible for leading sales efforts for OVHcloud US, focusing on IaaS and PaaS products. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who is data-driven with a strategic and innovative mindset. They must be enthusiastic about mentoring, motivating, and holding the team accountable for success, with a focus on process management. They will need to identify gaps, provide solutions, and utilize all available resources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive the go-to-market strategy by being a strategic and detail-oriented leader, to define goals, ensure execution, and follow up with results that will drive next steps/innovative changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, primarily the head of product and marketing, to develop the strategy for new products.
  • Build, motivate, and lead a high performing sales and go-to-market organization; this individual will attract, recruit, and retain talent.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define, implement, and execute on operational business strategies that will drive revenue growth and establish OVHcloud brand in the US.
  • Get directly involved in deals when necessary.
  • Provide strategic guidance, insight, and knowledge about market trends, customer satisfaction, and effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Manage and report on sales pipeline, providing insight on customer conversion rate.
  • Build, maintain, and deliver standardized reporting of real-time sales metrics and forecasts, connecting all stages of the sales funnel in a consistent and automated manner.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports to provide consistent feedback, coaching, and development.
  • Contribute to key strategic initiatives as a part of the senior leadership team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience in the IT industry, specifically with: Infrastructure as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform as-a-Service (PaaS), backup & disaster recovery services, private and hybrid cloud solutions, networking infrastructure, core business applications, backup, and replication technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience developing, leading, and driving the overall sales strategy and revenue forecasts for an organization.
  • Ability to evaluate an organization’s current position and define appropriate goals for the sales team that support the organization’s objectives.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and deal forecasting experience.
  • Ability to articulate and promote the value of cloud IT solutions.
  • Strong mentoring and process development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e., customer support, product, marketing, finance).
  • Experience driving a top-down, value-focused mindset targeting small-medium sized businesses (SMB), mid-market and enterprise customer segments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with global partners.
  • Ability to travel within the US and abroad.
