The Director of Strategic Accounts is responsible for growing business for the BentoBox mid-market space, our largest and most valuable customer segment. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing a team of strategic account executives to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas. The role requires building and leading a team, defining and implementing scalable prospecting and account development processes and working closely with our marketing and product business partners to ensure we have the right messaging, outreach and solutions to aggressively grow our mid-market business.

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the restaurant technology industry, can work cross-functionally to accomplish goals in support of the mid-market customer segment, and will effectively lead a team of high-performing account executives.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a team of strategic account executives to consistently deliver on activity, lead generation, pipeline development and sales goals.
  • Develop a rigorous, structured sales motion to efficiently acquire and expand mid-market customers
  • Ensure all sales activities and relevant metrics are logged and reportable in Salesforce and other BentoBox systems as needed to accurately report on the mid-market business.
  • Report weekly on the team's prospecting activities, new lead generation, pipeline development and sales results.
  • Accurately forecast mid-market business for the month and quarter, on a weekly basis. Support forecast through prospecting activities, pipeline and sales results logged in Salesforce.
  • Work cross-functionally with customer support, operations, growth, marketing and product teams to identify needs and solutions for the mid-market space, in support of growth and achieving short term sales quotas and long term growth goals.
  • Work with your team to prospect and generate sufficient meetings, demos and pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual team quota. Prospecting will include phone work, use of social platforms, reference selling and attendance at trade shows, conferences and industry events as needed.
  • Maintain expertise in the restaurant industry and its relationship to technology and digital marketing.

Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum five years of successful sales and leadership experience in the hospitality industry.  
  • Manage and lead a team of strategic account executives to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Work cross functionally with all departments to support the needs of the mid-market segment.
  • Maintain all sales and administrative records in Salesforce and other BentoBox systems to support proper reporting, prospecting, etc. for the mid-market segment.
  • Represent BentoBox externally at customer and industry events as THE expert in the restaurant industry and its relationship to technology and digital marketing.
  • Expected travel 10% to 20%
