Bryn Mawr College has an opening for a Director of the Impact Center for Community, Equity, and Understanding.
THE POSITION
Playing a key role on the Impact Center for Community, Equity, and Understanding team, the Director helps to lead the initiatives of the Impact Center, which implements programs and activities that address issues of diversity, power, and privilege with the goal of improving the campus climate and enhancing community life at Bryn Mawr. This is done with a lens that advances anti-racism, wellness, welcome, and belonging for all students, especially those who know the experience of marginalization first-hand. The Director will provide program leadership and manage the daily operations of The Impact Center. Additionally, in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Equity, Inclusion, and Community Life, the Director will help to provide and promote diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism (DEIA) for campus constituents through the Impact Center.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of combined DEIA-related leadership, education, and training experiences with progressive responsibilities. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism (DEIA). Appreciation of and experience leading programming for and with BIPOC students and those from other marginalized groups. Strong group facilitation skills. Successful record of program management and administration, including planning, reporting, and assessment. Administration and leadership experience. Openness to divergent views. Ability to work some evenings and weekends for programming outside of regular business hours. At least four years’ experience working with students in a higher education setting, or any combination of experience, education or training which provides the necessary skills, abilities, and knowledge for success in this position.
