POSITION TITLE: DIRECTOR, ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT

DEPARTMENT: ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT



POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Organization Behavior, Education or equivalent required; Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Organization Behavior preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing staff required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Organization Development, including responsibility for the training function that includes an e-learning modality required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Will need to possess or obtain FINRA Series 26 license
  • Experience with talent management and succession planning preferred
  • Experience with personality assessment tools such as DISC or Myers Briggs and predictive hiring assessments preferred
  • Organization Development experience in a global organization preferred
  • Knowledge of the financial industry preferred

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Design and implement programs that support and promote Federated Hermes’ philosophy.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of management and leadership development curriculum, including executive development.
  • Design the performance management process that includes methods for setting performance standards, monitoring and assessing performance and establishing performance development plans.
  • Stay abreast of the firm’s global learning and development needs and develop strategies and programs that help Federated Hermes achieve its goals.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of training programs that successfully launch employees, enhance individual performance, and provide professional development opportunities for all employees.
  • Design and deliver learning interventions in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Oversee development and execution of the corporate e-learning strategy, including e-learning initiatives for external clients.
  • Manage the process for identifying and selecting outside resources and vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Manage and develop staff.
  • Conduct needs assessments in response to request for OD services and make appropriate recommendations or referrals.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources colleagues on the development and implementation of the career path planning, talent management and succession planning processes.
  • Counsel employees on career path opportunities and assist them in creating professional development plans.
  • Prepare Organization Development budget and monitor actual expenses to budget.
  • Oversee administration of the corporate education assistance program and CE credits for professional designations
  • Recommend new learning programs and plans, and/or modifications to existing programs.

HOURS/LOCATION:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
  • Federated Hermes Tower – Pittsburgh, PA 15222
  • Hybrid Location (office/remote)

  • Must possess an understanding of adult learning practices and principles
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of other HR functions including Total Compensation Management, Employment/Employee Relations, and HR Information Management.
  • Ability to work core business hours
  • Ability to work overtime and travel as needed
