See Yourself as a Procurement and Vendor Management Operations Director

The Procurement and Vendor Management Operations Director is a high-energy, self-motivated, and results-oriented collaborator that will support the team optimizing the function’s operations and supporting technologies. The incumbent is expected to find opportunities and drive initiatives to implement efficiencies through the vendor onboarding and procurement lifecycle.
This position reports to the Chief Procurement Officer. This position will work with diverse vendors to collect, combine data to help the function create category dashboards and periodic reporting. This position will translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks to align to overall business strategy recommending new processes and ways of operating. This position will be required to travel up to 20%.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, document and evidence regulatory and reporting requirements (internal and external)

  • Manage operational concerns with process owners contributing to the function’s strategy, governance and KPIs developing functional/category considerations

  • Support administration and development of internal tools and software (e.g. CLM, mailboxes, etc.)

  • Organize, store and extract data, information and content for analysis identifying redundant fields in data collection and recommend modification by defining necessary transformations

  • Liaise between the Procurement & Vendor Management function and other internal and/or external stakeholders fulfilling requests in a timely, accurate and efficient fashion

  • Collaborate with the team to develop new and improve existing programs and tools

  • Special Projects – lead and contribute to special projects across the Procurement and Vendor Management team

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Education and Prior Work-Related Experience:

  • Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • Work Experience: 8 or more years of prior work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • 6+ plus years in a Corporate Supplier Diversity or Procurement function

  • Proven track record of developing and applying best practice processes, program management, operations and standards

  • Solid understanding of procurement principles, concepts, and practices

  • Ability to effectively multitask between multiple projects

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (excel, powerpoint, word)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with all levels of an organization (internal and external)

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with the ability to persuade and influence

Preferred Education Level: Bachelors or equivalent

Preferred Years of Prior Work-Related Experience: 8+ years

Other Qualifications, including any special skills, capabilities, and competencies:

  • Strong business judgement, and organizational skills…

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Experience using procurement solutions (including spend analytics, contract lifecycle management, etc.)

  • Ability to think strategically with a team player, can-do attitude

  • Competitive Compensation: anticipated base salary from $83,000 to $136,300 based on skills and experience. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
