Building a Business to Scale:

In 2022 Workforce Software continued to add significant enterprise leading customers such as UPS, Microsoft and QuickTrip consistently growing our recurring revenue and maintaining our leadership position in our space. In 2023 we are targeting several other large enterprise customers as we leverage a unique opportunity to take away share from our largest competitor. To meet the growing demands of a rapidly growing technology business we are seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting and Operations Director to partner with our VP, Corporate Controller to help build and manage a world class Order to Cash (OTC) accounting team.


Key Leadership Opportunity

This role will be a key business partner to the Workforce Software leadership team.


Responsibilities

  • Be the CEO of your area. We pride ourselves on a culture where each individual can have the autonomy to drive the success of their area. We are looking for self-motivated team players that strive to help leadership make better financial decisions based on the quality of the data and insights you will present.
  • Partner with the legal, finance and Go to Market organization to build a formal deal desk integrated with necessary OTC processes.
  • Implement well defined best in class OTC processes around billings and collections including incentives to improve cashflow
  • Oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies
  • Review and/or prepare month-end account reconciliations and ensure the completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of supporting documentation
  • Maintain the close calendar and ensure a well-coordinated, consistent, and timely accounting close
  • Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders in the accounting close process
  • Collaborate on critical projects to harmonize data between our key financial systems and update configurations to meet the needs of the business.
  • Key leader responsible for collaborating and in managing critical aspects of outside relationships with auditors and private equity investors.
  • Lead ad hoc strategic finance initiatives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting preferably with some public accounting
  • SaaS accounting experience including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented; a problem solver with strong teamwork skills and a strong desire to drive change
  • Ability to influence through clear presentation and communication of complex data analysis
  • Ability to recognize and employ appropriate interaction styles and methods to achieve the desired outcome
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to develop insights and recommendations that synthesizes information across functions and perspectives
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and consultative skills. Inquisitive and positive mindset in approaching complex problems

Travel

  • Travel to our Livonia, MI Headquarters a few times per year.

Education

  • B.A./B.S. in Accounting and CPA preferred
