We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
Lead the Schools and After School Programs team in the development and implementation of overall schools, after schools, and community strategy and the ongoing support of PE teachers, out-of-school providers, and community-based programming throughout the country.

Manage the team with the development of programming and relationships in all aspects of schools in PE (elementary, middle and high school), Middle School, High School, out-of-school & community providers.

Lead the team to create & develop a key strategy for the ongoing engagement of CTAs, Parks & Recreation, and parent-led organizations for after school and non-school-related activities.

Lead the team to create new schools & community-based programs, partnerships, and other engagement initiatives

Identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community stakeholders

Attend non-USTA programs and events relevant to better understand schools & community interests and activities.

Align section and national efforts in tradeshow/conference environment.

Create mechanisms for internal and external evaluation of engagement initiatives.

Help develop strategies with USTA Diversity and Inclusion to ensure goals and initiatives are impactful and relevant to creating a more diverse playing and teaching population.
Who You Are
-
Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program implementation and training for schools, community based organizations, and/or tennis facilities.

Ability to network with school/community leaders and recreation/sports providers
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Experienced presenter and experience with outreach to community groups

Demonstrated ability in resource development, technology, negotiations, strategic planning/analysis, supervision, marketing, and promotions

An ability to appreciate and optimize volunteer heritage and resources and apply professional experience within a not for profit organization

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $91,000 to $111,000/yr . This role is bonus eligible. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
