Director Talent Management

The Ideal Candidate

The Director, Talent Management is responsible for leading and executing talent and performance management strategies and practices to enhance organizational effectiveness and cultivate a high-performance organization.

How You Will Make a Difference
  • Provides leadership and strategic direction for talent acquisition and retention, performance and talent management, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Directs staffing, sourcing, onboarding, and retention strategies and works to position the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Provides strategic direction and oversight of corporate learning and development strategy.
  • Encourages diverse, equitable and inclusive hiring practices across the organization; develops and implements programs and initiatives that drive an inclusive culture and attract and retain diverse talent.
  • Leads employee engagement plan for the company; develops employee engagement strategies that capture the ongoing pulse of employees using various methods, including engagement surveys.
  • Works with key levels of management on execution of performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, talent assessment, leadership development, and effective deployment of talent in support of its corporate workforce.
  • Leads and directs the development and implementation of programs that evaluate, measure, enhance and improve employee performance.
  • Leads the design of a behavioral competency model in support of the organization's mission, values, and strategies.
  • Provides consulting to internal business leaders on best practices in talent management.
  • Develops strategies that align individual, team and leadership goals with organizational needs and business priorities to drive a culture of high performance.
  • Develops and leads change management initiatives. Establishes appropriate processes for managing cultural transformation and change.
  • Establishes and maintains a meaningful talent metrics dashboard to assess and show alignment of strategies to business needs and outcomes.
  • Participates in the development of mission and strategic initiatives as a part of the HR leadership team.
  • Develops and leads group facilitation, training, and presentations to various organizational audiences as needed.
  • Provides guidance on total rewards strategies relevant to talent acquisition and retention.



Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in leading talent and organizational development initiatives
  • Ability to set direction and deliver practical business solutions
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with C-suite level executives
  • Strong leader with the ability to interact with and influence others effectively
