Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive disaster recovery strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the seamless continuation of critical banking functions in the face of adversity.
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerabilities and formulate robust recovery plans across multiple business units.
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including IT, operations, and risk management teams, to align disaster recovery strategies with broader business objectives.
Continuously enhance disaster recovery capabilities through proactive testing, simulation exercises, and the evaluation of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Lead cross-functional teams during times of crisis, coordinating efforts to minimize downtime, mitigate risks, and restore business operations swiftly.
Foster a culture of preparedness by providing training, awareness programs, and workshops to employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective response

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
8+ years in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Enterprise Architecture, or Infrastructure roles.
Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation within the banking or financial services industry.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make critical decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead teams during crisis situations.
Proficiency in leveraging disaster recovery technologies, data backup systems, and cloud-based recovery solutions.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE) would be a plus.

The position is located in our new Zions Technology Center which is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
