Purchasing Coordinator – Greencastle, Indiana

DISHER is currently partnering with an automotive manufacturing company in their search for a Purchasing Coordinator. In this role you will assist with all purchasing functions including raw materials, equipment and manufacturing supplies, safety supplies, and general office supplies.

• Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders
• Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests
• Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts
• Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
• Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
• Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping purposes
• Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures
• Carries out inventory control policies and procedures
• Use knowledge of material and planning to coordinate product deliveries

• Inventory management software experience
• Material planning coordination experience
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization
• Enterprise application integration software experience
