The Program Development Manager – Field Delivery acts as main partner with Walt Disney Imagineering, FAM project teams, and Operations partners on resort projects from construction to completion. In this role, you will attend meetings to gain knowledge of project scope and design intent and be responsible for delivering on strategy and quality assurance of project completion. You will maintain a close relationship with various collaborators, business operations teams, and construction partners to maintain an updated understanding of needs. This position will report to the Manager - Hotels & Resorts Development. This is a Temporary Assignment with no guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do

  • Provide field support for Asset Refresh projects, Room rehabs, and other projects as assigned
  • Evaluate work quality through punch and acceptance walks with partners and contractors
  • Operational development and planning representation throughout design and field delivery of resorts projects
  • Monitor project completion against timelines and field conditions
  • Attend Project and Operations meetings and Design Reviews
  • Assist FAM and Walt Disney Imagineering teams with accountability to timelines
  • Represent the needs of various Operations teams and communicate information to Operations and Development collaborators
  • Ensure follow through and integration of work schedules, project plan components, construction and implementation
  • Review construction schedules and logistics and advise plans that minimize Cast or Guest impact
  • Coordinate the turnover of areas through various departments
  •  Advise operations of design intent as they transfer into locations and plan their operating strategy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of previous Leadership experience
  • 3+ years of Project and program management experience
  • Prior experience with construction project tasks and overall project management to understand key achievements, tasks, critical paths and appropriately lead project progress
  • Ability to conduct daily field walks of construction projects across various resorts
  • Capability to communicate across teams and levels ensuring everyone understands updates, priorities, and appropriate course of escalation to drive results
  • Skilled in simultaneously handling demands and priorities amidst constant change while holding self and others accountable
  • Previous experience with confidential information
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies including Apple software tools
  • Schedule availability may include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

It would be great if you also had...

  • 3+ years of Leadership experience in Resort or Park Operations
  • Understanding of Lodging Operations and their related business processes and requirements
  • PMP Certification
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
