The Communication Associate is part of Sales and Travel Operations, supporting the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions Contact Centers. The Communication Associate will support the development of content, offerings, policies and procedures across a myriad of media and communication tactics in order to share information with internal Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions audiences within Sales and Travel Operations.
This is a part-time hourly position.
This position reports to the Communications Manager.
Analyze, validate, and manage data received from business partners to create timely, consistent, relevant and accurate internal communications.
Build and maintain a good working knowledge of, and relationship with business partners to actively communicate key information related to policies, procedures, products and promotional activities.
Design, create and manage the layout of all content pages for all internal media outlets such as daily communications, Intranet sites, weekly updates supporting Port Operations, and graphic designs with an emphasis on accuracy of information, nomenclature, grammar, spelling, dates, times, etc.
Ensure timely follow-up and properly actioned research, communication and dissemination of content, as requested by operational partners.
Actively communicate key information related to policies, procedures, products and promotional activities to internal and external partners.
Collaborate with operational partners to support policies, procedures and product details.
Provide support to Shoreside Guest Services for all items related to policies and procedures, product knowledge and general information.
Monitor phones, emails, forms and research requests coming into team Outlook mailboxes - providing action, and timely follow-up and responses to all incoming emails and phone calls.
Conduct research to validate and submit a JIRA ticket request to ensure multi-platform information alignment on DisneyCruise.com, DCL Intranet, ABD/NGE Intranets and the shipboard Navigator App.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write messages to targeted audiences.
Strong organizational and proofreading skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Comfortable supporting and partnering with multiple business areas in a team environment, working with both salaried and hourly cast at all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Availability to work flexible hours which can include nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to remain current on all updates, changes and enhancements to applicable systems required for role including Content Management Application/D Scribe, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Seaware, and Shipboard Navigator App.
Proficient knowledge of Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, and National Geographic Expeditions.
Experience with the SeaWare Reservations System.
Experience with web design and/or Content Management applications
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent
