As a Distribution Clerk 1, supporting Manufacturing, you will be trusted to work on Oak Grove location in Fort Worth, Texas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations. May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.

Essential Functions Inspect, pick, pack, sort, and receive incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment which may include crossdocking, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, inventory, maintenance, and administrative activities to meet customer expectations in an efficient and quality manner.
Move product throughout accurately and timely the warehouse utilizing CRT terminals or RF devices and/or detailed inventory move logs to transmit information to the material management system.
Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials.
Locates, moves, or reconciles products for storage or shipment including documentation via detailed inventory and move logs including performing cycle counts.
Prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading.
Routes materials to destinations.
The use of the key logistics operating systems and technology.
May lay out, fabricate, and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.
Perform quality checks and order verification using CRTs for loose pick, assembly process and LTL shipments and/or by visual inspection and comparison to the manual pick list. Requires an attention to detail and heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report all discrepancies immediately.
Responsible for adhering to safety policies/procedures and ensuring work areas are clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions and in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Involves the use of hand trucks, forklifts, heavy equipment, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data.
Due to fluctuating market and business needs, it may be necessary to work late and on weekends.
Escalates technical issues and/or systemic needs/challenges in a time.

What you'll bring to alcon:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Work hours: 8 hr. day (M-F)
