Job Summary
Under general supervision, receives and distributes all items ordered for Denver Health operations.
Essential Functions:
- Utilizes hand held scanner to record all package transactions from carrier to the end user.
- Prioritizes packages based on delivery expectations, delivering first overnight and next day air first and so on
- Physically delivers all packages, on time, to the assigned locations, on and off campus.
- Acts the service contact with departments on assigned routes.
- Maintains assigned vehicle according to Denver Health vehicle management guidelines and policy.
- Determines necessary action in situations arising during the absence of the manager. Establishes priorities and coordinates work activities (i.e. transportation with supply deliveries) to meet internal/external customer needs.
- Keeps supervisor advised of operational and other work-related problems and solves those that do not require administrative disposition.
- Maintains a travel log of shift activities.
- Picks up and delivers USPS mail from the post office. Sorts and delivers all mail internally and meters all outgoing mail. Covers Courier routes when necessary
- Sorts, distributes, and meters all incoming and outgoing mail, both interoffice and USPS
- Transfers stat lab specimens from Denver Health ACS clinics to the main core lab
- Picks up and delivers a variety of items within a defined city route and within specified facilities.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years One year of warehouse or distribution experience Required
Licenses:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge inventory management, warehouse operations, and distribution helpful but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively using the appropriate communication channel.
- Basic knowledge of distribution equipment, such as, pallet jacks, hand carts, and forklifts.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.ob Description
Denver Health is seeking a Distribution Clerk to join our team! This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products through our distribution center.
Essential Functions:
- Pulling, preparing, and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Accurately counting and sorting all incoming materials.
- Preparing outgoing materials for shipment.
- Maintaining accurate records of all outgoing materials.
- Preparing outgoing and incoming mail.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the distribution center.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
