As a Distribution Facilities Specialist within the Observing Systems Division, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility, some of your specific duties will include:
Physical Demands: Long periods of standing are required and lifting objects weighing more than 50 pounds is necessary from time to time. Walking, bending, stretching, reaching and stooping are experienced routinely. Operation of a fork lift is also required.
Work Environment: The work area is an un-air-conditioned warehouse facility that is typically hot and humid in the Summer. The warehouse environment has many more safety considerations than typical office work. The incumbent must take due care to avoid injury from falling or tipping items, lacerations for sharp edges or other minor contusions or scrapes.
Key Requirements:
Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-09 level:
**Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education (36 semester hours, 54 quarter hours or the equivalent) leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field of study which provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position to be filled.Other Information:
