Applied Architect

Responsibilities
• Create high level architecture and other detailed design artifacts to represent the solution architecture recommendations to address multiple stakeholders' needs.
• Review architecture design with appropriate stakeholders and architecture governance boards to seek approvals.
• Collaborate and partner with Enterprise Architects and other domain architects in defining Solution Architecture.
• Facilitate cross functional team meetings to achieve desired outcomes on business requirements, low level design, performance testing etc.
• Identify constraints and dependencies highlight any long-term risks that may originate because of design of architectural choice made in overall system design.
• Communicating with internal stakeholders regarding different aspects of a business problem, related architecture/solution options, progress reports etc.
• Implementation and Delivery - Oversee the delivery of solutions to ensure the Architecture is delivered, work with quality engineering and performance engineering to ensure all corners cases have been tested, address any queries from the development team, address any blockers, ensure the DevOps pipeline is aligned with company standards.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in relevant field
• At least 10 years experience with application architecture, design and development of business technology applications, familiar with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind design of applications, information and integration technologies.
• At least 5 years experience in the role of Solutions Architect or Enterprise Architect (applications focused).
Preferred Skills/Experience
• Previous and most recent experience in banking technology is desirable.
• Experience with APIs including authentication and security mechanisms.
• Architecting solutions in a public cloud platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Hands on expertise in modern architectures like event streaming, microservices, etc.
• SME in architecture discipline, IT standards, IT application delivery processes, and Information Security.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex topics and issues with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration and cross functional leadership.
