The Director of Corporate Development will support the strategy in evaluating and executing inorganic growth opportunities including partnerships/alliances, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and joint ventures. This position partners with senior management and will assist in shaping the broader corporate strategy by supporting the inorganic growth of the company. Establishes research capabilities, opportunity pipeline and manages relationships with key partners to include investment bankers. Leads the identification of new business opportunities to support future growth. Develops and presents business cases that recommend strategies, partnerships and/or product growth activities in coordination with relevant existing strategies.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provides leadership in identifying, evaluating and executing inorganic growth opportunities including partnerships/alliances, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and joint ventures.
  • Partners with senior management and business unit leaders to identify, develop, and execute new strategic and business development opportunities that are aligned with the broader firm objectives
  • Leads the development of investment and growth theses based on industry research, internal knowledge, and existing roadmaps
  • Leads due diligence and transaction process from start to finish in coordination with cross-functional teams (Finance, Investments, Legal, HR, ERM and other departments) in developing acquisition business case, financial analyses, facilitating due diligence and driving seamless execution.
  • Leads and drives deal sourcing including proactive target identification, screening and analysis.
  • Collaborates with the Strategy team, leadership and key stakeholders to think about inorganic opportunities in a progressive, and systematic fashion.
  • Presents findings and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders to evaluate potential transactions including strategic assessment, cultural fit and financial impact.
  • Cultivates key external relationships (e.g., investment banks and other channels) to support early insight to relevant opportunities as well as generate deal flow.
  • Leads and/or supports the mobilization of post-deal integration activities and teams to ensure successful achievement of strategic rationale, value drivers, and synergies.
  • Gathers and assesses crucial insights and benchmarking such as competitor performance and associated intelligence, operational performance, innovations, and markets from various internal and external sources in order to develop strategic options.


ABOUT YOU:

  • 10 plus years' experience in financial consulting, investment banking, or corporate development; with significant experience in M&A activities, deal structures and integration processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of and experience in leading teams to execute all aspects of transactions including direct experience in M&A project management, due diligence, negotiation, execution and integration.
  • Ability to work independently with strong, strategic planning and organizational skills; high sense of urgency; self-motivated and directed with a bias towards action, adaptable and flexible in assuming new responsibilities, team focused and detail oriented.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize significant data to make sound business decisions; strong quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning, project management, critical thinking and leadership skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, change, and prioritize in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Natural collaborator with an ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and influence different levels across the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate and adapt presentation style to deliver compelling messages to senior leaders, key stakeholders, board members and external business partners.
  • Excellent research and analytical abilities with ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives.

  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year
  • Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on start date.
  • Salary Range: Minimum: $133,000 Maximum: $206,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
