Overview:
This position will support Kimley-Horn’s California Regional Statewide Planning Team with complex and large volume document production and word processing duties. Primary responsibilities include creating, editing, and converting documents from multiple sources to a consistently formatted, cohesive, and user-friendly end document using a variety of software.
The chosen individual must be able to project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. The selected candidate will be a motivated and proactive team player who likes to collaborate, is open to feedback, and can instantly establish themselves in a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities:
Create, proofread, edit, format and finalize large volume project-related documents using Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional, and Bluebeam ensuring all sections are formatted consistently-
Create user-friendly single PDFs and Packaged PDFs with bookmarking with hyperlinks, table of contents, .pdfs, etc.

Create custom templates in Microsoft Word for projects and proposals

Prepare proposals and develop spreadsheets

Compile and assemble reports; coordinate large production jobs, burn CDs, print and bind

Prepare documents for publication and work with printing firms

Learn the Kimley-Horn culture and build relationships with internal clients (our Practice teams)

Occasional general administrative support for the office including but not limited to backup receptionist duties; answer phones, greet and direct visitors, process incoming and outgoing mail/packages, create labels and envelopes
Qualifications:
Expert level proficiency of MS Word, including formatting documents and advanced understanding of the Styles function, creating hyperlinks, tables of content, .pdfs, etc.-
Advanced level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Professional.

Ability to work through complex document markups and instructions in a timely manner.

Strong proofing, formatting, and editing skills.

Capable of managing and balancing multiple tasks/priorities and performing well under deadline pressure.

Base Salary Range
$61,000 - $83,000
