Quality Technologist I

Quality Technologist I

Location: East Boston, MA


The Mission of the Role:

This job supports the quality department during the second shift in ensuring product quality, consistency, and food safety. The technologist performs daily testing on all blends, supporting production and packaging.


Job Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate, organized, and detailed laboratory records of all pertinent formulations, experiments, data, and test results.

- Sterile sampling and micro plating of raw materials, blends, and finished product

- Perform sensory testing and shelf-life testing

- Performing Quality testing for production including testing all specs, verifying product profile and safety, and mixing benchtops

- Perform regular packaging checks

- Assist in collecting data for Quality/Production projects

- Support lab equipment maintenance and upkeep



Qualifications:

Must have

- Laboratory experience - basics like pH, general lab equipment, and density

- Strong organization and Communication skills

- Cross functional role working with different departments and teams

- Familiarity with Google suite

- Able to lift at least 40 lbs

- Be able to spend up to 8 hours on your feet a day

- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Background checks are conducted in accordance with all applicable laws.


Nice to have

- Food Science/ Science degree

- Quality experience in a manufacturing setting (at least one year) 

- Fermentation or alcohol Beverage experience

- Microbiology experience

- Experience with sensory testing

- Statistics knowledge
