Who you are
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for performing all month and year-end closing procedures, developing and maintaining financial reports, overseeing the maintenance and review of the general ledger, and assist with the annual financial audit. You will also assist the finance team in developing the annual operating budget and provide input to ensure that the company achieves important financial goals and milestones.
What you’ll do
Enter timely and accurate data in the general ledger system.
Maintain the company’s accounting system and ensure the accuracy of its data.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ASC606 regulation, and company policy.
Work directly with all levels of personnel to obtain and maintain proper transaction support.
Be the lead accounting contact for all A/P & A/R communications.
Oversee all A/P responsibilities, including corporate card accounts, and complete annual 1099 distribution and reporting.
Ensure reimbursement requests comply with company policy and IRS guidelines.
Oversee all A/R billing and collection efforts according to contracts and company policy.
Complete the weekly update of the cash forecasting model.
Manage fixed assets and coordinate the bi-annual review and disposal process.
Responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with sales & use tax and maintaining Nexus tracking and records.
Consistently assess accounting operations to identify areas of improvement and automation.
Collaborate in the accounting department sprint and quarterly OKR planning cycles.
Assist with the annual financial audit.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Develop effective working relationships with all other teams across the company
Ability to identify and research tax and accounting issues, develop resolutions and prepare written conclusions.
Ability to effectively manage schedule and deadlines while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
Your skills and qualifications
Bachelors in accounting or related field
Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and ASC606
4-6 years of experience in a progressively similar role, at least 1 year in public accounting required
Unnatural attention to detail
Desire to continue professional growth through training and coursework
Excited to take on new challenges involving domestic and international finance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have basic knowledge of Google Suite
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work collaboratively on cross-departmental initiatives

NB: 9am - 2pm EST is the required availability for meetings. Outside of these hours, work times are flexible as long as it is completed to our standards and departmental and company needs are continuously met.
