Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Terracon is seeking an individual to perform solar test pile installation to facilitate design testing.
This position requires an equipment operator who is self-reliant, flexible, and enjoys an independent work environment. This role requires inter-state travel with an opportunity to grow into a unique service industry.
The installations will be conducted with a Vermeer PD-10 Pile Drive Unit with a 20’ foot mast. Operation of the PD-10 is similar to that of a direct push drill rig and training will be provided.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:-
Be responsible for maintaining Terracon quality standards on all projects.

In charge of a two-person crew. Requires ability to forecast schedules a few days in advance based on project specific details.

Load piles, PD-10, mini-excavator, side by side (gator) and tools/supplies onto trucks and trailers

Assists in the location of test pile locations via GPS tools.

Drives road tractor and heavy-duty trailer to various, typically remote job sites. Operates and drives all-terrain, track-mounted PD-10 pile drive unit.

Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Prepares United States (US) Department of Transportation (DOT) paperwork, as required.
- Report required maintenance to supervisor and perform maintenance tasks as required.

Communicate daily progress reports with multiple offices.

Per Diem currently $150/day for overnight travel
