Senior Staff Software Engineer, Platform
Duolingo is looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platform team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in distributed systems and infrastructure management tools, aiming to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of Duolingo products.
Skills
- Expertise in problem-solving and technical innovation
- Technical experience in distributed systems, databases, caching, networking, and cloud services
- Experience with configuration management tools and infrastructure management tools
- Familiarity with containerization runtimes and Linux system administration
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tools to enhance engineering productivity and ensure cost-efficient, secure, and reliable infrastructure
- Streamline operational and development practices for effective self-service platform delivery
- Monitor infrastructure, develop cost management strategies, and manage capacity
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
