The Buyer assists the Purchasing Department in the efficient procurement of goods and services for the company. Interacts with all internal Departments and external Customers and Vendors. Key competencies: Analytical Skills, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, and Computer Skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Work with MRP system to review requisitions and create purchase orders for raw materials and non-inventory items.• Place orders with suppliers by using phone, fax, or e-mail.• Follow-up with vendors for date and quantity confirmations and expedite deliveries if necessary.• Maintain vendor and material data for quality, price, and performance.• Manage and develop vendors to meet company expectations and requirements.• Follow correct processes for approval of first-time and secondary sources.• Work on purchasing related projects as assigned.• Maintain procurement documents in a systematic fashion.• Perform other duties as assigned.• Consistent with MANE’s environmental commitments, employees will engage in awareness and practical training, relevant to job-related and job-specific roles and responsibilities, in order to adhere to applicable environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s Degree required with Business or Chemical Engineering degrees preferred.• SAP experience.• Intern experience in a Purchasing role preferred.• Flavor industry desired.• Computer literate.MANE offers industry leading benefits including a generous PTO plan.
